In the school bench again...

Hello there reader!

Had my first lecture in Australia today, e-business systems started off with some things I already know and some new stuff... Apparently my teacher is working on or has been working on developing robots for interaction, which is cool. She said that she would try to show us what she was talking about, if so i'll take some pictures ;)

But I'm feeling confident about this course, going to pass without too much effort.

tried some Milky Way chocolates with "chocolate whip"... they're not that good, buy snickers or mars instead! Or just stop eating candy, it's up to you...

It's been raining most of the day here in Melbourne, although the sun came out for my walk home from school, made it easier to walk... I guess?

Anyways, nothing much more to say..
As usual i'll try and keep you guys posted!

Wrap it up, wrap it in, let me begin...

So, hey guys!
it's already been 10 days since my last entry... time flys by almost too quickly!
School starts tomorrow but just introduction to the courses. I have checked out some of the material to the classes and I recognize some of it, wich is good! Makes it easier.

But we've done some cool stuff, went to a footy game yesterday, our team lost by many points. We didn't actually see the whole game, because they sucked so bad... (Sorry essendon fans) Carlton won by twice, or something, the score (like 77/150). We went to a pub instead of watching the last quarter.

Went to a gaybar on thursday, I think, and that was... interesting and fun actually! according to Matt though it was a gay and straight bar, I had tons of fun anyway :)

Did an Amazing race thing last weekend, my team got second place due to my excellent map reading skills. True story... So I'm pretty good at finding my way in Melbourne city at least!

On other days we spent our evenings watching tv-shows like "sons of anarchy" and "spartacus"...

The food

Matt had us over on dinner on friday, he cooked an amazing dinner with filled mushrooms and garden salads, fruit salads, melted brie and much more. We'll try to top that, preliminary next weekend, with a swedish style stake or the like ;)

Matt the cook

Today me, Emmy, Matt and Lauren went shopping. I bought pants. I'm no fashion blogger so thats all you get. The pants were slim jeans, brand wrangler, they are blue.

Well that's all for now! I'll try and keep you guys more updated!

Hugs and kisses and all that!

On a BOAT M****F***AH!!

Hi there everybody!

So what's been goin on down here.. Yesterday was stressful, Paul (the landlord) arrived at the house at 9:30am for formalities that should've taken about ten minutes but took like 25 minutes so we got late to our morning "lecture".  We attended a lecture in academic writing, but it's very similar to the Swedish way so it was mostly repetition for my part. After that we had a lunch on the go as we went to the closest shopping centre to see the new Harry Potter movie, it was O.K... After the movie we basicly ran through the shopping centre (was huge and very nice so we'll be back ! ;) to try and catch a bus back to our house, but we were in a bit of a hurry to get ready for the evening event that LaTrobe had planned for us. To sum it up, we missed the first bus and did'nt have the time to wait for the next so we took a taxi home.

When we got home Andy and Emmy took a shower (I did that in the morning so don't worry about my hygiene) and I threw on a shirt and a tie and drank some whine, Swedish style! We also left in a hurry, thrash day so we had to take the bins out to the street, and missed the recomended tram to the Welcoming cruise that was on the schedule. But we were'nt alone on the next tram, alot of international students like us was as late as us.

The people behind this event told us to get off at the last station on that tram and had drawn a map to guide us. Funny thing though, the tram hade a temporarily other course and we ended up in the other side of the dock. But anyways we found the boat, drank some, made new friends and had a really good time!

So with that eventful yesterday, we plan to take it easier tonight, although we're going to the student pub for a welcoming party tonight, but until then not doing much.

Today started off with relaxation in the couch before a lecture in OZ english, we were a tad bit late but "no worries" as they say! Fun lecture, we were pointed out as people with dirty minds (she wondered if anybody knew what a "blowie" was, we laughed...(it's a fly btw))

and now we are trying to set up our timetables, wich we need a little help with. That and eating and sleeping a bit is the next on the schedule.

Hopefully we will soon have internet at home and as soon as we do, I will upload pictures and stuff for you guys!

See Ya'll laterzzz!

BOOM and I was registred!

Hey guys!
We moved in to the townhouse today, had a great last night at the hostel as we saw the swedish soccer ladies win over Australia (good job!), tried some Melbourne sushi and had some beers at the hostel pub. Met some crazy Australians, still very polite and free speaking!

but we had an early morning and slept very little, about four hours or so but atleast I think we are strating to get the new days rythm... Funny side note: The moon is actually upside down here (more or less... alrigth it's on it's side but still!!) the pigions look like they are bleeding and we have a wierd bird living somewhere around our house. It's makes the sound of  "pippi pelikan" (an old Swedish show for kids).

This afternoon we checked out our surroundings in this new neibourhood and also the university we are going to attend! Very Big University indeed, I'm a bit nervous about going here as of now but hopefulle it will turn out allright... We went here just out of curiosity, no intent of registrating or so, but we went in the registration area and just before I knew it I was registred! Got a lot of papers and catalouges and pamplets and stuff so soon I'll be in class again.

we tried getting internet for our new house (can't beleive we're living in a house!) but with less luck, takes a couple of days before they activate it.. but soon we will be with real internet again!

If anything else happened? well no it's just been a day!!

Anyways cheers mates and i'll talk to you later!
Miss you guys at home, but the adventure has just started!
XO

There's a ghost in room 309...

Good morning wine lovers!

Now that we are all rested out I can review our journey! (a bit..)
Me and Andre met up at his place and later on his parents drove us to the airport in Copenhagen. There was mixed feelings with a adventure ahead and near and dear ones behind. But as we got closer to the departure we got more excited, although after landing in Beijing we got tired of flying. Bad thing though as we thought that was the "long flight", we were wrong. The flight for Melbourne actually took longer time that we thought, and we did a surprise stop in Shanghai (nice airport, where there for an hour...) but we got here in planned time!

I'm sure you would like to hear about funny stuff that happened between the leaving Sweden and arriving in Melbourne but there's nothing much to say. We got gasy and chineese people has no problem at all with making "da poopoo" in public toilets.

When we got here we were a bit too honest and filled out that we had been in contact with fresh water in the past 30 days, this meant we had to stand in line for an hour or so just because they wanted to check if we had mud on our shoes, we didn't.

Tired as we were, we got a room in a hostel and ate some slept some, ate some more and had a beer. Then we got to sleep.

Regarding the title, Andre saw a man in a white hood this night/morning standing over me in my bed, kind of swinging back and forth. He told me that he noticed how it only where the shadows from the window, but we all had very weird dreams and who knows? The ghost of 309 might be a former resident of my bed that died of being cold as shit while sleeping in my very bed. (it's colder in the hostel than it is outside!)

Anyways, were all good and I can't wait to skype with you guys!
 Miss a lot of you.
XO (haha)

Packing!

I'm packing in the middle of the night. My phone wont co-operate, hopefully it will work tomorrow and if not well i'll just have to do without!
-Will I get some sleep tonight? Doubt it.. too much to think about, have I forgotten something that i MUST have with me? Is the weight of my packing too much? Have I brought to much... crap?... well I guess things will turn out alright.

Things have been going too smoothly for a couple of weeks now, just waiting for something to fail. "come on Dennis, happy thoughts!", it is going to be awesome! I'm leaving TOMORROW! why can't I get it in my head?

Anyways, I'll try to keep you guys updated.

See Ya!
